Henry B Perry

Henry B. Perry is an international public health specialist whose major focus of interest is community-based primary healthcare. He worked in Bangladesh from 1994 until 1999 with the International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh, with the global USAID-financed BASICS Project (Basic Support for Institutionalizing Child Survival), and with the World Bank. He holds honorary faculty appointments in the Department of International Health at Emory University and at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. Dr. Perry is the founder of an NGO working in community-based primary health care in Bolivia, South America-Andean Rural Health Care-with which he worked from 1979 until 1994. he has written and published extensively on the subject of health services, health manpower, and community-based primary health care in developing countries, with a focus on Bangladesh and Bolivia.
